Unit Plans
The following links are to pages that house all of my lesson plans during my Student Teaching semester. Each lesson plan follows the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for teaching English I. The lesson plans are for four different English I classes, two Honors classes that were on a year-round schedule and 55 minute class periods, one College Prep class that was on a year-round schedule and 55 minute class periods, and one College Prep class that was on a semester block schedule and 90 minute class periods.
Some of the lesson plans for each day are split with the three year-round classes in one lesson plan and the 90 minute class period in another lesson plan. All of my lesson plans are modeled after the format developed by Todd Finley. I chose the Todd Finley Plan because it outlines both student actions and teacher actions in relationship to one another, and it also asks the teacher to consider multiple intelligences.
