Keith A. Menhinick

Welcome to my professional portfolio site!

My name is Keith A. Menhinick. My current permanent residence is in Hickory, North Carolina. I graduated from Fred T. Foard High school in May 2007, where I served as the yearbook Editor-in-chief and captain of several sports teams.

In May 2011, I graduate from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. I will have a dual degree, with a Bachelor of the Arts in English and a Bachelor of the Arts in Spanish, with a minor in Professional Education. 

My professional goals are to secure a job teaching English, grades 9 through 12, where I can apply my passions and knowledge of the English language and literature. I am also interested in helping out with high school sports, school newspapers and yearbooks, clubs, and other extracurriculars.

Some of my passions include outdoor activities, from sports to camping, and music, from playing the piano to singing in choirs. I also am a writer and spend time writing anything from poems, to stories, to blogs. In addition, living a total of 4 months in Costa Rica, I have a passion for Spanish culture and language.

My overarching goal and passion in life is to reach out to young people, to show youth a higher way to live. I aspire to use reading and writing in today's 21st century literacies in order to bring about positive change within individuals, and then spark those individuals to enact positive change in the world.
