Social Justice Projects
For more information on this assignment, see the "Unit 3" page. I assessed this project very holistically. Students were given a handout on the writing triangle ("Purpose," "Audience," and "Voice" or form), and told that consideration of these three points and effective incorporation of research will be the main assessment.
This is part of Student #2's project. This student also wrote a poem as a way to raise awareness of this issue (which can be found in her portfolio) and performed that poem at the school poetry slam.
